Family Members recall Sam Brown accidently shot and killed James Claibourne Brown while they were rounding up Cattle.
W.A., Tom, Sam & J.C. Brown were the sons of James Walker Brown & Julia Ann Norris Brown.
"Mattie" Brown (no known relation) on September 20, 1877. They had Dona, Susan, James Riley & Mattie Kellie. JC died June 14, 1889 in Brownwood.

J.C. was born March 30, 1851 in Nacogdoches County. He was named for his mother's brother James Claibourne Norris and married Martha C."Mattie" Brown (no known relation) on September 20, 1877. They had Dona, Susan, James Riley & Mattie Kellie. JC died June 14, 1889 in Brownwood.
