Joseph David Stewart, b. 1877 in Boone County Arkansas, was the son of Andrew Jackson Stewart and Nancy Lucinda Stewart of South Carolina. The family moved to Callahan County in the late 1800s. He died in 1951 in Austin, Texas.
Mary Thankful Hoover, b. 1878 in Burnet, Texas, was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Hoover and Sarah Rebecca Rawlings. The family moved to Callahan County in the late 1800s. She died in 1940, Georgetown, Texas.
Joseph and Mary Stewart had 4 children and were divorced in 1923. Mary married 2nd, Ernest Nienast, in 1927.
