Where We Are

Crockett County is technically located in the southern half of the state but also
almost part of west Texas on the Edwards Plateau
with its western border being the valley of the Pecos River. The county seat is Ozona in the eastern part of the county. Because of
its size and irregular shape, Crockett is bordered by nine other counties with
Schleicher and
Sutton counties in the east,
Val Verde in the south,
Terrell and
Pecos counties on the other side of the river in the west, and
Crane,
Upton,
Reagan and
Irion counties in the north.
Other Texas counties.
