A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Dimmitt First Assembly of God Church. Rev. Israel Olivo, Pastor/Step-Son will officiate. Services are under the trust and direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. 6th Street, Hereford, Texas.
Carlos was laid to rest at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2011 in West Park Cemetery under the care and direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.

Teresa Barela, 90, longtime Hereford resident, went home to be with her Lord and late husband on May 30, 2011 at King’s Manor Methodist Home-West Gate. A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at San Jose Catholic Church.
A Mass of Resurrection Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at San Jose Catholic Church with Rev. David Contreras as Celebrant. There will be no viewing. Cremation and Memorial Services are entrusted to and under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. 6th Street.
Teresa was born May 24, 1921 in Tajique, New Mexico to Ramon and Eufemia (Sanchez) Gonzales. She married Juan Barela in 1936 in El Paso. Teresa moved from Tajique to Hereford in 1946. Teresa was a homemaker and longtime member of San Jose Catholic Church. She loved her Lord and ALL her family members VERY much. Teresa LOVED to play Bingo. In fact, she was known to many in the family as “Grandma Bingo”.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, husband Juan, one son, Leo Barela, three grandsons, Larry Barela Jr., Robert Barela, John Anthony Diaz, one granddaughter Judy Ann Potter and one great-great granddaughter, Victoria Evon Reyna.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Barela and wife Ginger of Amarillo, Larry Barela of Universal City, TX, ten daughters, Dale Potter and husband Benny of Edmond, OK, Nora Dawson of Junction City, KS, Irene Vigil and husband Maurice of Boulder, CO, Judy Samaniego of Amarillo, Janie Zepeda and husband Domingo of Hereford, Terri Alcala of Amarillo, Mary Rocha and husband Roger of Hereford, Linda Reyna of Cibolo, Ernestine "Tiny" Tijerina and husband Joe of Hereford, Molly Navarro and husband Jesse of Amarillo, one sister, Ernestine Williams of San Diego, CA, 33 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at the home of Janie and Domingo Zepeda at 510 Sampson in Hereford.
The family of Teresa has suggested memorials to the King’s Manor Methodist Home, 400 Ranger Drive, Hereford, Texas 79045.

Morris “Moe” Hacker, 74, lifetime Hereford resident died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Hereford Nursing & Rehab Center. A Vigil followed by a Rosary is scheduled for 6:30 pm, Thursday, June 16 in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 411 E. 6th Street.
A Mass of Resurrection Burial is scheduled for 10:00 am, Friday, June 17 in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Rev. John Valdez as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Services are entrusted to and under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.
Morris “Moe” Hacker was born January 11, 1937 in Hereford to Wendelin John and Ola (Culpepper) Hacker. Moe was a graduate of Hereford High School. He married Gwen (Jesko) Hacker on June 4, 1956 in Hereford. Moe could cook a good steak. He liked water sports such as boating and skiing. Moe was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 3rd & 4th Degree and the Catholic Life Insurance and Optimist Club. He liked to play cards and also dominoes. Most of all, Moe loved his Lord, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Moe was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Adam Christopher Hacker.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen of the home, two daughters, Sandra Hacker, Shannon Redwine and husband Lanny all of Hereford, three sons, Greg Hacker and wife Kim of Canyon, Mike Hacker and wife Vicki of Amarillo, Keith Hacker and wife Karen of Hereford, two brothers, Joe Hacker and wife Betty Jo of Vega, Dean Hacker and wife Carolyn of Hereford, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Terry Phillip Hoffman 1979 - 2011 Terry Phillip Hoffman, 31, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his residence in Hereford, following a stabbing altercation.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday, June 13 at the Barn Church, located west of Hereford on FM 1057. Rev. Guy Walker, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Services are entrusted to and under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. 6th Street.
Terry was born September 26, 1979 in Hereford to Michael David and Tommie Lynn (Wilbanks) Briseno. He was a member of the Barn Church. Terry was a carpenter by trade and worked in partnership with his brother Michael Hoffman. Terry was a fun loving person. He loved his Lord, family and a host of many friends. He will be missed dearly by those who love him .
Survivors include his mother of Denver, CO, his father of Amarillo, one brother Michael of Hereford, one daughter, Savanna Grace Hoffman of Kersey, CO and his maternal grandmother, Delta Wilbanks of Hereford.

Joseph “Joe” Terry, Sr., 81, longtime Hereford resident, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Hereford Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, April 25, 2011 in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 411 E. 6th Street. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.
Joe was born June 17, 1929 in Douglasville, Texas to James and Josephine Terry. He married Lee Furn Terry in 1956 in Memphis, Texas. Joseph was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He loved his Lord, family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren very much. Joe loved to fish, travel, work crossword puzzles, watch western movies, play dominoes, have family gatherings and BBQ’s and work on vehicles. He will be dearly missed by those who love him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lee in November 2009.
Survivors include five sons, Harold Terry and wife Shirley of Fredrick, Maryland, Joseph Terry, Jr. and wife Diane of Midland, Ronnie Terry and wife Linda of Amarillo, Alfred Terry and wife Veronica of Hereford, Jackie Terry and wife Debbie of Midland, one daughter, Sharon Courtney and husband Anthony of Hereford, one brother, Junior Terry of Houston, two sisters, Fanny Washington of Atlanta, TX, Doris Terry of Arlington, TX, 19 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Family suggests memorials to Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 301 Knight, Hereford, Texas 79045.
Viewing and visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2011, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
