	ABOUT CEMETERY RESEARCH IN GOLIAD COUNTY , TEXAS
	There are numerous organizations and individuals performing cemetery research. Hook up with one as a Volunteer. If you cannot locate one, form one as a group. Goliad County has many undocumented cemeteries and needs your help. Use the following table as your guide, it is FREE ACCESS. FOR THE FOLLOWING TABLE, "LISTING FOR CEMETERY RESEARCH IN GOLIAD COUNTY, TEXAS," IS A RESEARCH IN PROGRESS CEMETERY LISTING AND IS CONTINUALLY BEING UPDATED. The table began as a list queried from the US Geological Survey, GNIS database, pertaining to cemeteries and their locations within Goliad County and added cemetery names, locations, and descriptions obtained through futher research. Initially, twenty five (25) feature records were the resultant of a query of the GNIS database. (SEE *NOTEs below.) Click on the feature name for cemetery details and for links to mapping services. (This link will direct your browser to the USGS, GNIS website, developing more information for the referenced cemetery.) The table has also been modified to represent the necessary information useful for this website. However, the cemeteries listed in this table are not a complete aggregate of all the cemeteries, gravesites, and burial plots in Goliad County, Texas. NOTE: The cemetery identification as to name and location is currently being researched. Some of the cemeteries designated as unknown may represent previously identified cemeteries with different names. However, per the information I have, there does exist unidentified cemeteries as to name and location within Goliad County. Volunteers are desperately needed to locate and identify these cemeteries. 	¹⁰^. Goliad cemetery, Posted By: Mark Cavazos <[email protected]> Date: Saturday, 10 July 2004, at 1:44 p.m., Manuel Lopez, my great-grandfather, died in Goliad county in 1949. I am searching for the cemetery in which he was buried. His death certificate gives the name of the cemetery as "Crug" or "Cruz". The funeral home record shows the name to be "Cruzes". I have not found either name on any listing of Goliad cemeteries. Does anyone know where this cemetery is located? Thanks.
