The Victoria Advocate-Cuero-Roland G. Ziemer, 52, of Ander died in a Cuero hospital Tuesday. The body will lie in state at Oak Memorial Funeral Home until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to St. Mark's Lutheran Church to lie in state from 3 until services at 4 p.m. The Rev. Emerson Urelius pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Ander, and the Rev. H. A. Hanson, pastor of St. Mark's will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Ziemer, a veteran of World War II, was a member of the Yorktown VFW Post. He was born in Yorktown, Nov. 20, 1919, son of Gus and Emma Linbrugger Ziemer. Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Esther Ziemer; the mother, who resides in Yorktown, and a sister, Mrs. Leona Urban of Goliad. |
