MILLIE ETTA UNDERWOOD WHEREAS, God in His all wise and infinite wisdom, has een fit to call one of His dear children home. Sister Millie Etta Underwood. Be it therefore resolved by Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Nixon, Texas, that in the passing of our beloved ister, that the church bow to the will of our heavenly Father. Sister Underwood was born in Alabama, February 19, 1877 and departed this life July 22, 1966; making her stay on earth 89 years, 5 months and 3 days. Sister Underwood was preceded in death by her husband and one son. She had been an active member of the Primitive Baptist Church for 68 years. She leaves to mourn her passing one son: Coley Underwood of San Antonio; six daughters: Mrs. Vassie Hatcher of Nixon, Mrs. Cassie Ayers, Mrs. Lelia Norvell and Mrs. Pearl Powell all of San Antonio, Mrs. Frankie O'Banion of San Marcos, and Mrs. Johnnie Avant of Houston; four sisters: Mrs. Annie Hall, Mrs. Cleater Pritchett, and Mrs. Armittie Owens all of Florida; fourteen grand-children; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends. To the loved ones left behind, we say. Weep not, for we know that Sister Underwood is now basking in the love of our blessed Savior.
