Our heavenly Father has called to rest our dear Sister in Christ - Sister Sarah Myrtle Patterson.
We, the members of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Nixon, Texas, bow in
humble submission to the will of our Father, and say, "Not as I will, but as Thou wilt."
(Matthew, 26:39)
Sister Patterson was born March 16, 1882 and departed this life November 06, 1967; making
her stay on earth 86 years, 7 months, and 21 days. She was married to Samuel Franklin
Patterson September 20, 1899. To this union was born six children. Her husband and one
child precedes her in death. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Thelma Key, Mrs. Winnie
Delamain, and Miss Edith Patterson all of San Antonio; two sons: Hebert R. Patterson of San
Antonio, and Lester F. Patterson of Houston; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Sister Patterson was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church for forty-eight years.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and loved ones. May they be able to say and
realize that their loss is her eternal gain.
Be it resolved that we send a copy of this Resolution to THE BANNER OF LOVE,
a copy to the family, and a copy be entered into our church records.
