LEWIS MAHAN

LEWIS MAHAN

We, the Primitive Baptist Church of Christ at Mt. Zion, bow humbly to the will of our
heavenly Father, who has called one of our beloved members, Richard Lewis Mahan.
Brother Mahan was born January 31, 1880 and departed this life July 13, 1968 at the age of 88.
He united with the Primitive Baptist Church of Mt. Zion in July 1933 and
was ordained a deacon June 1934. He served the church faith-fully and well, never missing a
single conference day until his last few weeks on earth. He is survived by his widow, Sister Earl
Mahan of Nixon, and many friends and relatives.
We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Sister Mahan and say, "He is resting in peace with
our heavenly Father."
Be it resolved that we send a copy of this Resolution to THE BANNER OF LOVE,
a copy to the family, and a copy be entered into our church records.
Written by request of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Nixon, Texas.
