MELVIN WHITE

MELVIN WHITE
We, the Primitive Baptist Church of Mt. Zion, Nixon Texas, have been greatly
saddened by the death of our beloved Brother Melvin White.
We bow in humble submission to the calling of our heavenly Father, with whom
he is now resting in peace.
Melvin White was bom August 09, 1897 in Caldwell County. He was the
son of John D. and Mary Ann Johnson White. He died October 15, 1973 after many
months of illness.
He married Miss Nola Fow at McNeil on October 20, 1921. He was preceded in
death by two infant daughters. He is survived by his wife, two sons, four
grandchildren; also by a sister and two brothers.
Brother White joined the Primitive Baptist Church in September 1955.
He was ordained a deacon in March 1968. He was a church trustee and a member
of the associational planning committee. Brother White was always a dependable
worker in anything relating to the good of the church. We feel that his life was a
good example of true Christianity.
Be it resolved that a copy of this Resolution be sent to the family, a copy to
THE PRIMITIVE BAPTIST LIGHT, a copy to THE BANNER OF LOVE,
and a copy entered in our church book.
