This cemetery is in the records as the Watson Cemetery; however, the sign says Carson,
Powe, & Gescheidle. Go south on Hwy 183 to FM 3282, turn right. Go 3 miles down 3282.The
road then runs into county road 192, continue going straight for 2.4 miles. There is a sign on the

The cemetery was listed under the name Norwood Family Cemetery. The record shows that the
area was bulldozed by a non-resident. Bulldozing was ordered by the previous landowner, a
resident of Gonzales County. This cemetery appears to have once been very big. The current
landowner, Phil Goodwin, has attempted to partially gather the markers and repair the
twoseparate grave areas. Go out Hwy 183 towards Luling to CR #244. Go 1.1 miles down this
gravel road until it divides into two private lanes. Take the lane on the right (Phil Goodwin's
place). Go .3 mile into the pasture. The cemetery is on the left. There is currently two rod iron
fences that are visible from the road. The cemetery is slightly hard to view from the road. The
cemetery was surveyed by Paula Collie, Michael Collie, and Lucy Maulding, 1994.

This cemetery was shown to us by Peter Contreras the caretaker of the cemetery. He told us of
graves that have no markers. The cemetery is next to the Hodge Cemetery. Go out Hwy 90A 6.2
miles from the light heading toward Seguin. The cemetery is on A.G. Ainsworth's property,
through a locked gate. The cemetery is .6 mile into the pasture on the right side. The cemetery
was surveyed by Paula Collie, Michael Collie, and Lucy Maulding, 1994.

Only three graves are visible, but the cemetery was once a large one. It is said that the State came
in and bulldozed many of the graves and markers to widen the road at the curve. Many of the
graves used to be found in the open offset across the highway from where the old corner store
used to be. There is only a slab left. Go out HWY 183 towards Luling 9.3 miles. (Directly across
from County Road # 261). The cemetery is on the right hand side of the road. It is directly
across from the Old Corner Store on HWY 183. There is an offset on the right where the fence
line goes in. This is where is cemetery used to be. The cemetery also extended inside the fence
and there was evidence of the graves. The cemetery was surveyed by Paula Collie, Michael
Collie, and Lucy Maulding, 1994.

to us by Red Henry of Harwood (Lester Henry's father). The cemetery is very weedy and brushy.
There is absolutely no evidence of a cemetery there now; however, he helped bury two people
there when he was younger. He does not remember their names; he did remember the last one
was buried in 1926. Go out Hwy 304, cross Hwy 90A. Stay on Hwy 304. Go .5 mile to County
Road #438 on the left- turn. Go .3 miles to County Road #441 on the right- turn. Go 2.4 miles
to the Little Zion Cemetery. Go .3 mile past this cemetery. The cemetery is at the intersection of
County Road #443 and County Road #441. It is where the fence is offset making half a box
shape. The cemetery was surveyed by Paula Collie, Michael Collie, and Lucy Maulding,
