The Sierra Blanca Killing
El Paso, March 3.-[Special]-Yesterday, at Sierra Blanca, 90 miles east of here on the Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio railroad, L.L. Barlow, son of J.E. Barlow, a prominent citizen and justice of the peace, became involved in a difficulty with Josiah M. Hooter about a young lady whom Hooter had been visiting and who, it is alleged, was insulted by Barlow. Hooter was shot in the thigh and died this afternoon. Barlow crossed the river to Mexico. The murderer is only 17 years old but of bad character.
