Jim Hogg County, TX

My name is Carla and I'm the TXGenWeb Orphan County Coordinator. I don't live in Jim Hogg County so I can't do research but hopefully I can help tell you where to look. If you would like to contribute information, transcriptions, biographies, or photos for this website, email me.

Jim Hogg County was formed from Brooks and Duval counties on March 31, 1913 and organized on August 11, 1913. It was named in honor of James Stephen Hogg (1851-1906) who was the first native Texan to serve as Governor and was father of the Railroad Commission of Texas.
    Hebbronville is the county seat.
