Where We Are
Lavaca County is in the south central region of Texas halfway between San Antonio and Houston, south of I-10, and the county seat is Hallettsville. Our neighboring counties are (clockwise from the north) Fayette, Colorado, Wharton, Jackson, Victoria, DeWitt and Gonzales counties.
