Where We Are
Loving County is located in far west Texas and its county seat is Mentone - about 80 miles west of Odessa. Mentone is
located in the southwest part of the county, just north of where Hwy 302 crosses the Pecos River. Our neighbors to the
north are
Eddy and
Lea counties in New Mexico, followed (clockwise) by
Winkler County (east),
Ward County (south) and
Reeves and
Culberson in the west. Loving doesn't share a county line with
Culberson but its northwest corner is less than 4 miles from Culberson's northeast corner.
