| Kiser Family Information
Sent by Randall Henderson My great grandfather George Kiser, his wife Florence and daughter Minerva are buried in the Jones Cemetery just off the Fredonia road. I have been to the site once. Their sons T Kiser and Eckert L. Kiser are buried in (Blue Stretch ) Wagram. George Kiser's three daughters Nancy Kiser, Oma Kiser Ake and Kate Kiser Ake (married brothers) are buried in the Brady Cemetery. On the San Angelo Hwy. I don't know a lot about Nancy Kiser. I believed she lived on the Mason Fredonia hwy. Oma had no children. Kate had one who was a bootmaker in Brady. I can't remember his name. He had a leather shop on the square, northeast side. Eckert or EL or Eck was my grandfather. He married Bertha Baxter daughter of JW (Jim) Baxter and Elizabeth Lonisa Williams (orginally from Gainsville I believe.) She was known widely as "Granny Baxter." (I have a picture of the family on a porch) Jim and "Granny Baxter "had 9 children, six of them girls. I remember her as a child. She cooked on a wood burning cook stove and told us of indians as we refilled her wood bin. Jim Baxter died the day his son JW (Little JW) was born. I have pictures of George Kiser and his wife and a framed picture as well. My brother has a framed picture of T and Eck. BTW, T Kiser was T Kiser. It is on his tombstone and his name was T. One has to wonder. Eck and Bertha Kiser had two children, Wilford and Hazel. Hazel was my mother and with my dad birthed myself and my brother Darrel G. Wilford had 2 children Baxter (Sonny) Kiser and Loy Belle Kiser. Baxter is retired CHP and lives in Hayward, California. Loy Belle is married to Tony Ferrari and they operate a busisness in Cool, California. Feel free to contact me if I may help.
