 Lillian Ayres Shirley passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010. She was born June 23, 1914 in Rowden, Texas. She attended school in Coleman, Texas and graduate from Daniel Baker College in Brownwood, Texas. Lillian taught school in Grosvenor, TX, Kermit, TX, and Birmingham, AL. She Married Lester E. Shirley September 15, 1945 in Coleman, Texas. In 1947 she moved to Midland and taught in Midland Schools for 25 years and in 1994 she retired. Lillian was a charter member at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, National Retired Teacher Association, Texas State Teachers Association, Midland Retired Teachers Association, and Texas Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Lester Shirley; two daughters, Linda S. and husband Gary James of Adrian, TX; Evelyn Corbett of Big Spring, TX; four grandchildren, Dawn Blashill of Bemidji, MN; Buddy Chancellor of Bemidji, MN; Mike James of Seattle, WA; and Thomas James and wife Charla of Caldwell, TX; three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; two nephews and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Friday, March 12, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.  Carlos Manuel Aragon, 33, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Midland. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with Rev. Terry Easley, officiating.
 Carlos was born March 29, 1975, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Luisa and Manuel Aragon. He moved to Midland when he was three years old with his parents and brothers. He attended Lee High School and received his GED from Midland College.
 Survivors include mother and stepfather, Luisa T. and John G. Alderete of Midland; brother and sister-in-law, Pete I. and Tisha Aragon of Midland; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel A. and Crystal Alderete of Midland; nieces, Taylon A. Aragon and Aaliyah J. Alderete of Midland; paternal grandparents, Joe P. and Ida Aragon of Albuquerque, New Mexico; many uncles, aunts and friends.
 He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Aragon, his maternal grandparents, Jose and Perfilia Martinez and his adoptive grandparents, Lee and Ruth Barros.

 Kyle Yater, 39, of Midland, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 14, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Stanton with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.
 He was born on December 5, 1968, in Big Spring, Texas. Kyle grew up and lived in Stanton most of his life he attended Stanton schools and graduated from Stanton High School. He attended Midland College and also received a certificate from San Antonio College as a Computer Programer. He had lived in Midland for the past five years. Kyle was also an avid coin collector and also graded coins and bills. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanton and was a member of the Midland Masonic Lodge # 623 A.F. & A.M.
 Survivors include his father and step mother, Carrol and Lyn Yater of Stanton; his mother, Bonnie Yater of Midland; one sister and brother-in-law, Tobie Jean and John Maldonado of Midland; his longtime caregiver, Paula Heredia of Midland; one nephew, Aaron Ruiz of Midland and one niece, Baele Maldonado also of Midland.
 The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of one's choice.

 Services for Mary Beth Scroggins 72, of Gun Barrel City, were held Dec. 4 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Gun Barrel City with Rev. Scott Schaller officiating. Interment followed in the Wood Lawn Cemetery at Houston under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.
 Mrs. Scroggins was born Oct. 26, 1935 in Midland and passed away Dec. 1, 2007 in Tyler. She had resided in Gun Barrel City for the past 18 years and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Lert & Hattie Jewel Stringer, two brothers, Timmy Kyle Stringer and George Edwin Stringer and two sisters, Minnie Laura Stringer and Theresa Jane Dunnan.
 She is survived by her husband, Earl N. Scroggins of Gun Barrel City; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam Bales and husband Steve of Port Lavaca; a daughter, Paula SCROGGINS of Richardson; a son, Nelson SCROGGINS of Katy; two brothers, Charlie Stringer of Livingston and Emmett Stringer of Grants Pass, Ore.; a sister, Patsy Lewis of Turlock, Calif.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 Mrs. Theresa Mims Dunnan, age 80, of Corsicana, Texas, died Monday, September 10, 2007, in Corsicana, Texas.
 She is survived by her daughter-Deborah Mims Drum, daughter & son-in-law-Gale & David Beene of Keller, Texas, and daughter & son-in-law-Cathy & James Banks of Thornton, Texas.
 Also survived by her brothers, Emmett Stringer of Grants Pass, OR., Charle Stringer of TX., Patsy Lewis and Mary Beth Stringer (?).
 Preceded in death by her parents, Lert & Hattie Jewel Stringer and husband, Merritt M. Dunnan.

 Services for Jerry Lynn Moss, 57, of Midland have been set for 11 a.m. Tuesday May 29, at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating, Military honors will follow.
 Visitation will be held Monday, May 28, at Ellis Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
 He was born June 13, 1949 in Albuquerque, N.M., and he died May 24, at a local hospital.
 He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.
 He married Patricia Burton, Dec. 5, 1973 in Midland.
 Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Lynn Michelle Moss; one step-daughter, Carol Hambright; two step- sons, James Simmons of Odessa, and Ricky Hambright of Houston; two sisters, Sandra Evans of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Joyce Snider of Midland; two brothers, Gary Moss of North Carolina and Joe Moss of Seguin and two grandchildren.

 Nancy Sue Lott, 54, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Midland Memorial Hospital.
 Nancy was born on March 2, 1953 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the Ila Pruiett Smith and the late Marvin Smalling. She was raised in Prineville, Oregon. Her family then moved to Battiest, Oklahoma in 1969 where she graduated in 1971. She married Dannie Lott on April 30, 1971 in Wright City, Oklahoma. They had two loving children, Dee and Barbara. They moved to West Texas in 1975.
 She worked for Big Spring State Hospital for nine years. Nancy and her husband were Team Drivers for five years. She then went to work for the Midland Reporter Telegram for the last nine years.
 She loved her dogs, Little Bit and Bullet. She also loved fishing, camping, and going to the Lott Family Reunion.
 She was a prominent leader and member of Destiny by Grace Church.
 She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Smalling and one brother, Roy Lynn Smalling.
 Nancy is survived by her husband, Dannie Lott of Midland, Texas; her son, Dee Lott and wife Tracy of Midland; her daughter, Barbara and husband Rodney Bates of Midland; one brother, E.A. "Red" Smalling of Springfield, MO; one sister, Sandra Smalling-Zezzoli and husband Christopher Zezzoli of Vermont; her mother, Ila Pruiett Smith of Midland; numerous nephews, nieces and many loving Brother and Sister-in-laws.
 The family will be receiving friends today from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Pipkin Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Destiny by Grace Church, 3303 South 349 in Midland. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.
 Pallbearers are Johnny Womack, Brent Hammonds, Jeff Lott, Scott Turner, Tag Locklar and Mike West JR.

 Juan "Johnny" Villa, 30, went to be home with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 24, 2007 in Azle, Texas. He was born in Stanton, Texas on October 16, 1976 to Jesus and Yolanda Villa. Johnny was raised and educated in Midland.
 He met and married the love of his life, Zilpa Gonzalez on May 16, 1994. He was a roustabout in the Oil industry most of his life.
 Johnny had a great sense of humor. He was a big fan of the Texas Longhorns and loved cooking out for family and friends. He loved his wife and spending time with his children.
 "We love you dearly and you will be greatly missed by your family and friends."
 He is preceded in death by his son Patrick Villa, grandparents Consuelo and Santos Franco and Victoria Villa.
 Survivors include: his wife Zilpa Villa of Azle, Texas; a daughter Andrea I. Villa of Azle, Texas; a son Johnny G. Villa also of Azle, Texas; one brother Jesse Villa of Midland, Texas; three sisters: Carol Ramirez of Ft. Worth, Texas, Marisella Hernandez of Lake Worth, Texas and Roxanna Arredondo of Baylor, Texas; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends.

 Henry Jones, Sr. died Monday, April 23, 2007. He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Columbia Jones, April 4, 1930, in Martin, Texas. On October 6, 1958, Henry married Rita Bob Joyce Thompson Jones.
 He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Gatewood; his wife, Rita; his son, Henry Earl Jones, Jr; his daughter, Wanda Randolph; his sister, Leanna Wright; uncle, Tom Samuels and his nephew Milton Williams.
 Mr. Jones was employed by the Midland Independent School District, and as a skycap for seventeen years at the Midland International Airport.
 Mr. Jones leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Minni Newbill, Alice and her husband, Dan Emerson and Sandra and her husband Cornelius Roper; two sons, Robert and his wife Aredelia Jones and Jonathan Phillips and his wife and children, Sheila, Tevin and Riana; his loving granddaughters and their families DeAnn Allen and her husband and children Jeremiah, Cordia, Tiffany, Jeremiah Jr., Denise Hall and her husband and children, Chester, Chessika, Trey and Brandon, and Danielle Randolph; one brother, Chester Gatewood and his wife, Yvonne; other grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

 Edward Lee Avery, of Midland, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Midland Memorial Hospital.
 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Christian Church of Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, with Jim O'Banion officiating and Bob Blazek assisting. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland.
 He was born December 3, 1940 to Lottie Blackerby and Ogal B. Avery.
 Ed graduated from Stanton High School and for most of his career worked in the oilfields of Texas and Louisiana as a Production Superintendant and for the past 8 years worked with his son Brad Avery at Hotline Utility Construction and Lawson Equipment. Ed was a member of Christian Church of Midland where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was known for his quick wit and wonderful culinary creations. He also leaves behind an adoring church family.
 He is survived by his devoted wife, Judith Allison Avery; six children Lauri Avery Barber and husband Kelly of Covington, LA, Bradley Robert Avery and wife Linda of Garden City, Michael David Pelletier and wife Sheri of Lafayette, LA, Jeffrey Lewis Pelletier and Ginger of Lewisville, Melissa Avery Thompson and husband Mark of Palmer, AK and Charles Bennett Pelletier and wife Andrea of Layfayette, LA, as well as 14 adoring grandchildren and his mother-in-law Gladys S. Allison. He is also is survived by two sisters, Yvonne Hrbacek of Odessa and Lonita Crocker of Weatherford, and many nieces and nephews.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
 The family would like to extend special thanks to all of Ed's caregivers at Midland Memorial Hospital Critical Care Unit.
 The six sons and sons-in-law will be pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be Don Gaines, Tony Lusk, Wayne Peters, Eddie Taylor, Dean Soderstrom, Ed Brown, Justin Fay, Gail Webb, Dennis Wilhite and Doug Hammack.

 J.W. "Hap" Rogers, 86, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2007 in the Central Church of Christ with Eben Emerson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia.
 Mr. Rogers was born May 4, 1920 in Vernon where he grew up and attended schools. He married Earline Capps on July 12, 1941 in Fredrick, OK. She died April 26, 2006. He earned his Master's degree from West Texas State University in Canyon. He was a coach in Duncan, Okla., Lawton, Okla., McLain, TX, Amarillo, TX and finally Tulia, TX. He was an insurance agent for Southwestern Life Insurance Company since 1960 where he won numerous awards including being a member of the Million Dollar Round Table for several years. He was also on the State Insurance Board. He was a past president of the Tulia Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
 Survivors include two daughters: Penny Sturgess and husband Larry of Tulia and Suzy Arnold of Midland, one son, Jessie Rogers of Post; two brothers, Nute Rogers of Dallas and Jack Rogers of Vernon; 9 grandchildren, Melanie Beedy and husband Mark of Floydada, TX, M'Lynda Moss of Tulia, Amber Sturgess of Richmond, California, Biff Sturgess of Houston, Evan Rogers of Dallas, Jay Rogers of Dallas, Ryan Rogers of Brownwood, Jai Ja White of Midland, and Shai McMorries and husband Vance of Tarzan, TX, 11 great grandchildren; Lauren Embry and husband Kyle of Grapevine, TX, J.W. Nobile of London, England, Jace Nobile of Tulia, Charmynee Arnold of Tarzan, Ariel Arnold of Tarzan, Jesika White of Midland, Hailey Arnold of Midland, Kinley McMorries of Tarzan, Chase Mitchell of Lubbock, Taylor Beedy of Floydada and Lindsey Beth Beedy of Floydada and 1 great, great grandchild; Audry Nobile of Tulia.  Dana Hillger Cook, 36, of Garden City, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 1, 2007. A Vigil/Rosary service officiated by Rev. Francis Njoku will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2007 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2007, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. Francis Njoku, Rev. Bernard Getigan and Rev. Tom Barley, officiating. Interment will follow at Garden City Cemetery.
 Dana was born March 17, 1970 in Big Spring, Texas to Dale and Jo Ann Hillger. She was a sixth generation Hillger to live in Glasscock County. Dana was raised in the St. Lawrence Community and graduated from Garden City High School. She went on to pursue her education at Sul Ross University and then on to Angelo State University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two wonderful children and a loving and devoted wife. Dana was a teacher at Glasscock County ISD where she was loved by all her students and her fellow faculty members. Her involvement with the students in the PIPS program was her pride and joy. She was very proud to be in the education field. Dana was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and served recently as an officer of the St. Theresa Altar Society. Dana coached Garden City teams that participated at the Big Spring YMCA Basketball League.
 Dana inherited her beautiful smile from her Daddy and always kept that smile on her face, just like her Daddy. Dana loved her brothers dearly and she was so proud of her nephews with all their accomplishments - she was their cool aunt.
 Survivors include her children, Marcus Ryan Cook and Britni Ann Cook; her mother, Jo Ann Hillger; two brothers, Mike Hillger and wife, Nancy, Scott Hillger and wife, Andrea; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Omer and Jade Cook; two sisters-in-law, Sheila Draper and husband, Tooter, and Ann Beaver and husband, Cannon; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, one niece and very special friends, Kenny, Vicki, and Leslie Batla and Candy Jones. She is gone, but not forgotten and will live on with each of us in our hearts.
 Dana was preceded in death by her father, Dale Roy Hillger and her grandparents.
 Pallbearers will be her nephews, Justin Hillger, Darren Hillger, Brian Hillger, Trey Hillger and Kevin Hillger. Steve Long will also be a pallbearer.

 He was born on December 18, 1969, in Midland, Texas and married Dana Erin Hillger on May 18, 1991 in St. Lawrence, Texas.
 He graduated from Rankin High School and attended Sul Ross State University in Alpine. He worked as a field supervisor for Mariner Energies and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

 Big Spring - Mary "Frances" Fleckenstein, 87, of Big Spring, died Saturday, Jan. 13, in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 15, at Mount Olive Memorial Park with the Rev. Ken McMeans, pastor of College Baptist Church, officiating.
 She was born Aug. 24, 1919, in Ft. Worth, and married Regis Fleckenstein in July 1936. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1984.
 She was a member of College Baptist Church.
 Survivors include one son, Roger Fleckenstein of Stanton; one daughter, Annetta Montgomery of Big Spring; one sister, Annetta Day of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
 She was also preceded in death by her parents.

 Alice Ruth Graham, 79, of Midland passed away on January 4, 2007 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Marks United Methodist Church with Rev. Karan Young, pastor, officiating and Rev. William McReynolds assisting. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland.
 Alice was born on January 7, 1927 to Sid and Lee Ola Cross in Martin County. She married JW Graham on May 14, 1944 in Martin, Co.
 She was a charter member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and was very active in her early years. She taught Sunday School and was in the choir. Alice was employed for over 8 years at Amerada-Hess as a secretary. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, but most of all Alice loved spending time with her family, friends and at her church.
 Survivors include her husband, J.W. Graham of Midland; a son, Robert and his wife Janice Graham of Louisville, KY; a daughter, Pamela Graham of San Marcos; four grandchildren, Robert Jay Graham of Charlotte, N.C., Sara Caldwell of Portland, OR, Tawni Akin of Hobbs, N.M., James Graham of Danville, IN; six great grandchildren, Wayne, Melissa, Tanner, Chyanne, Wyatt, and Kayla; two great-great- grandchildren, Houston and Zander; a sister, Peggy Rose Creech of Stanton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
 She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob and Taylor Cross.

Doralene Flanagan Robnett

 Doralene Flanagan Robnett was born in Courtney, Texas in rural in Martin County on May 1, 1923 to Webb and Lila Flanagan. She passed away on December 9, 2006.
 She attended Courtney public schools, graduating as Valedictorian from Courtney High School in 1940 and from Texas Technological College in 1944 with a degree in Business Administration. She married William Edward Robnett, Sr. in Lubbock on Feb. 5, 1943. She moved with her husband to California during the 1947 San Francisco 49er football season. Doralene was a stay at home mom and was a housewife until 1966 during the time her children were at home. In the summer of 1963, she re-enrolled at Texas Technological College and received her teaching certification in Secondary English. She coached and was a PE instructor in Stanton prior to moving to Midland in 1967. She taught Secondary English at Midland ISD from 1967. In 1983, she and her husband returned to Stanton, where she taught 2nd grade until her retirement in 1991. Doralene entered Manor Park Mabee Health Care in Midland in 2001, where she resided until her passing. She maintained her permanent residence in Stanton.
 Doralene was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Stanton and later in Midland. She loved unconditionally and was loved by her family and all who knew her. She was frequently visited by her former students. She was a member of the Greatest Generation and passed on to her family, friends and students the lessons learned during that time. Some of her fondest memories were the Glutton Club dinners on 5th Street in Stanton with Doc and Mary Catherine Bristow, Stanley and June Reid and Glen and Jerry Gates. She was an avid Midland MidCity Little League and Midland High School Bulldog fan.
 Doralene was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father and sister, Mary Francis Flanagan Rogers.
 Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Bizzell and husband Gary of Hale Center, three sons, William Edward Robnett, Jr. of Monterey, California, Stephen Webb Robnett and wife Amy of Midland and Jeffrey Todd Robnett and wife Dila of Midland. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Dr. Sky Bizzell and of Dimmit, Pipar Mason of Slaton, Courtney Robnett of College Station, Spencer Robnett of College Station, Claire Robnett of Midland, Brenna Robnett of Midland and Oliver Robnett of Midland. Also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren. Also a sister, Mat Jones and husband Ralph of Ft. Worth, a niece, Connie Langston of Ft. Worth and a nephew Webb Jones of Ft. Collins, Colorado.
 The Robnett family would like to thank Home Hospice and Manor Park Mabee Health Care Center for their unyielding care.
 Services have been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Stanton. Interment will follow at Stanton Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.

 Bobby Fred Cranford, age 60, passed away at his home in Corinth, Texas on December 2, 2006. Bobby was born on April 14, 1946 in Winters, Texas to Thomas Ed and Marcy Ann Cranford.
 Bobby is survived by his wife of 36 years, Laura Garrett Cranford. He is also survived by his daughter Danielle Byrd and her husband John; 2 grandchildren, Jared and Jewelia Byrd of Denton, Texas; a brother, Tommy Cranford and his wife Nelda and their children Scott and Melissa, and a sister, Becky Womack and her children, Traci and Will, all of Midland, Texas.
 Bobby graduated in 1964 from Stanton High School in Stanton, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army which included a tour in Vietnam; and was a member of the 40 & 8 and American Legion Post 88 in Lake Dallas.
 A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Dalton & Son Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas.  Jayde Layne Arnold, of Midland, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 24, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer.
 Born March 26, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas, Jayde was raised and educated in Midland, Texas. A 1991 graduate of Lee High School, he attended Texas State Technical College in Waco and Sweetwater with specialization in automotive technologies. Jayde enjoyed snow skiing, automotive work, quail hunting, and spending time with his children, family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Midland. Jayde will be remembered for having such a loving heart.
 He was preceded in death by a son, Cortlyn Jayde Arnold, grandparents, Joe and Wilma Arnold, and grandmother, Earline Rogers.
 Jayde is survived by his daughters, Charmynee and Ariel Arnold, both of Tarzan, TX; and Hailey Arnold of Midland, TX; mother, Suzy Arnold of Midland, TX; father, Jim Arnold of Lubbock, TX; grandfather, Hap Rogers of Tulia, TX; sisters, Jai Ja Arnold-White of Midland, TX; Shai McMorries and her husband, Vance, of Tarzan, TX; nieces, Jesika White of Midland, TX; and Kinley McMorries of Tarzan, TX.

 Jose Villa Samaniego Jr., 32, went to be with his heavenly father and his beloved family on Tuesday, October 31, 2006.
 He was born on February 6, 1974 in Stanton, Texas to Jose and Mona Samaniego.
 He was raised and educated in Midland. He had attended Midland High School.
 Joe met and later married his high school sweetheart, Mini Hernandez, on August 19, 1993.
 Jose was an avid sports fan and was the Dallas Cowboys' #1 fan. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping. He was an outdoors man.
 Jose was a very loving and caring husband, father, son and brother.
 He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
 He is preceded in death by: a grandfather, Pete Tucker; a grandmother, Maria V. Madrid: grandparents, Therodoro and Abigail Samaniego: great-grandparents, Felipe and Adela Villa: step-grandfather, Enrique A. Madrid.

She was a safety and environmental coordinator with Mobil Pegasus Gas in the West Texas area for 25 years. She retired in 1999. She was a bowler for 40 years, bowling against pro bowlers in many tournaments. She also won several awards in archery.  Joe R. Boadle, Jr., 79, of Odessa, died Saturday, Oct. 28, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton with his son-in-law, the Rev. Jim Pope, officiating.
 The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
 He was born Jan. 11, 1927, in Big Spring, and married Maggie Elizabeth "Beth" Gore Oct. 15, 1949 in Coahoma. She preceded him in death Sept. 29, 1999.
 He was raised in Big Spring and moved to Stanton in 1953. He worked for Colorado River Municipal Water District at the Courtney Pump Station. In 1964 he moved to Big Spring and then to Odessa in 1969. He was raised in the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Big Spring. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp and was stationed in the Phillipines during WWII.
 Survivors include three daughters, Janie Pope of Grove, Okla., Debra Meador of Odessa and Murfi Boadle of Odessa; one son, Joe Robert Boadle, III of Houston; three grandchildren; two great-gandchildren; two sisters, Doris Hollandsworth of Big Spring and Betty Boyles of Fla.; and one brother, Charles Boadle of Odessa.
 He was also preceded in death by his parents and a great grandson, Cameron Michael Phillips.

 Willie Lee Pruitt, 94, of Midland died Thursday, Oct. 26, at a local care facility. A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m., at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring, with Pastor Mike Hanks of First Assembly of God, officiating. A visitation will be held today, Oct. 29, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland from 4-6 p.m.
 He was born Jan. 13, 1912 in Oneonta, Alabama to Lee and Sarah Pruitt. He married Oleta Riggs on July 13, 1935 in Morrilton, Ark. She preceded him in death April 12.
 He worked for H & H Grocery and Midland Hardware Branch Roofing in Midland. He retired from the Civil Service as an employee of the base supply at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring.
 Survivors include three sons, Kenneth E. Pruitt of Midland, Billy A. Pruitt and David L. Pruitt all of Midland; one daughter, Marilyn Boyington of Lubbock; 12 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Robert Pruitt.

Ralph Pugh

 Ralph Bee Pugh, 84, one of only a few remaining World War II veterans, passed away , at Midland Memorial Hospital. He was born December 19, 1921 to Lee and Myrtle Eggleston Pugh in Coahoma, Texas.
 He served in the Army from June 1942 until January 1946, with the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper and combat medic, participated in the Battle of the Bulge, and was very proud to be a World War II veteran.
 Ralph married Ruby Sandefer in Muleshoe, Texas on January 25, 1947. He farmed in Midland and the Tarzan community, managed Planter's Gins and from 1970 until his retirement in 1987, was employed as building maintenance engineer for Wall Towers.
 He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruby of Midland; daughter Nancy Oldham and husband Lonnie of Midland; sons, Mervin Pugh and wife Daphne of Odessa, and Tracy Pugh and wife Stacy of Midland; six grandchildren, Clayton Oldham and wife Lindy of San Angelo, Rachella James and husband, Eddie of Midland, Hilary Pugh of Odessa, Jennifer Pugh of Midland, Kayla Razo and husband, Adrian of Odessa and Ricky Pugh of Midland; three great grandchildren, Tiffany and Macy James of Midland and Colton Oldham of San Angelo; one brother, Ray Pugh of Fairborn, Ohio; two sisters, Alma McGinty of Sunnyvale, California and Shirley Thrasher of La Grange, Texas; as well as numerous other relatives.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald; a daughter, Sandra Wilson; one brother, Gale Pugh; three sisters, Anita Smith, Leenez Reid, and Irene Smith.
 Services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Midland with the Reverend Jerry Berry officiating of Kelview Heights Baptist Church, assisted by Billy Raies of Christian Life Center.  G. H. "Shorty" Sisson, 68, of Midland, and formerly of Stanton passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2006, in Midland. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton with Reverend David Harp, pastor of First Baptist Church of Stanton officiating.
 Shorty was born on February 8, 1938, in Stanton, Texas and married Jessie J. Dyke on January 29, 1963 in Stanton. Jessie preceded him in death on June 29, 2002.
 Shorty served in the United States Army. He worked for Melton Post Roofing in Midland for 40 years before retiring. He was a memeber of First Baptist Church of Stanton.

 Burl "Jack" Jackson was born October 7, 1919 in Burkburnett, Texas to Wilmer and Fannie Jackson. He attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville.
 On February 27, 1942 he married Mary E. Henslee in Dallas. They moved to Midland in 1951. He went to work with Gardner-Denver Co. and also worked with Beacon Supply Co. and Compressor Systems, Inc. Burl was a life time member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers (AIME).
 Burl was preceeded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary E. Jackson.
 He is survived by his two sons, Jim Jackson, his wife Becky and their children Josh and Mandy Jackson and Mandy's son Hunter of Houston, TX and Alan Jackson, his wife, Delores and their children, Ben, Blake and Alyssa Jackson of Edmond, OK; one daughter, Deena Kay Beckett and her husband Everett of Marble Falls, Texas and their children Paul Nunn and his wife Amy, and their son Gavin, Donnie Nunn and his wife Catharine and their son, Jacob and Christopher Beckett and his wife Marisa and their son, Alex all of Midland.
 Mr. Jackson died Sunday, September 12, 2004 in Midland.

 Gladys "Marie" Morris passed away peacefully Friday, February 27, 2004 at a local hospital.
 She was born May 23, 1924 in Austin, Texas to James and Gladys Allen. Marie grew up in Austin and attended school there. On March 13, 1943, she married Drayton Earl Morris in Austin. Marie has lived in Midland since 1969. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Marie was an avid bridge player and life master, holding a total of 1,856.09 points with the American Contract Bridge League. Above all else, Marie was always a loving and caring mother and wife.
 She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Marie Hillmer Allen; her father, James Ray Allen; her brothers, Dan Herman Allen, Thomas Grover Allen and Archy Ray Allen.
 Marie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Drayton Earl Morris of Midland, TX; her son, Marvin Allen Morris of Waynesville, MO; her daughter, Virginia Fay Bynum of Midland, TX; her sisters, Elsby Mae Rhea of Bethany, OK and Bessie E.  He served in World War II and the Korean War and worked as a drilling mud technician with Buckeye Inc.
 He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gerry Baggett, parents, and brothers.
 He is survived by his wife Earleane Baggett; a sister, Wanda Whatley; son John Baggett; daughter, Janis Kiesel; stepdaughter, Ginger Loranger; stepsons Robert Prince and Ken Prince; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

 Larry J. Murphy of Midland went to be with our Heavenly Father after a battle with a terminal illness, Thursday July 31, 2003.
 Larry was born august 10, 1946 in Seagraves, Texas to J. C. Murphy and Florence Murphy. As he a child he moved to Midland with his family.
 He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a younger brother Terry Dale.
 The family will recieve friends at Ellis Funeral Home Sunday, August 3, 2003 between the hours of 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

 Big Spring - Robert M. "Bob" Gardner 97, of Dallas and formerly of Big Spring died Thursday July 30 in Dallas. Graveside services will be at 11am Monday Aug 4 at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with the Rev. Matthew Miles officating.
 He was born April 15, 1906 in Oklahoma. He came to west Texas in the 1930's and sold oil field equipment throughout the Permian Basin until becoming employed by the U.S. Postal Service. He delivered mail in Big Spring for 31 years.
 He married Ida Fay Millaway in 1938. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by Ida Fay Millaway in 1995.

 Fred L. Calhoun passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2002 in Midland.
 He was born December 16, 1933 in Ingram, Arkansas to Wade and Viola Calhoun, and was raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
 He was an Air Force retiree and had attended Midland College. Prior to his retirement, Fred was a jet mechanic for the US Air Force and had worked as an auto mechanic for the City of Midland, and local car dealerships.
 He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Calhoun.
 Fred is survived by his wife, Ruthie M. Calhoun of Midland, TX; son, Karl E. Calhoun and his wife Debbie of University Place, WA; son, Anthony F. Calhoun of Lawton, OK; daughter, Frieda M. Calhoun Balch and her husband Gordon of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia; son, Freddie L. Calhoun, Jr. of Midland, TX; son, Patrick W. Calhoun of Midland, TX; uncle, W.D. Endicott of Pocahontas, AR; sister, Dorothy Jean Jones of Massilon, OH; sister, LouDon Gallegos of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, John W.  She was preceeded in death by her son, Gary Lynn Holley on Sept 16, 1983.

 Mrs. Juanita Hundle 41, of 2506 W. Golf Course Rd. died Friday evening of an apparent heart attack in her home. She was pronounced dead on arrival at a Midland Hospital at 6 pm Friday.
 Services will be at 10 am Monday in the Kelview Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Johnson pastor, officating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Newnie W. Ellis Chapel.
 Mrs. Hundle was born Jan 13, 1934 in Turnertown. She moved to Midland in 1952 from Seminole where she lived 15 years. She was a member of the Kelview Heights Baptist Church.

 S.L. Murphy 45, dies in home fire. Services Tuesday
 S.L. Murphy 45, died early Sunday in a fire in his home, at 904 South Terrell Street. Fire officials said they believed the blaze was caused by smoking in bed, they said Murphy had made an attempt to get out of his bed. but apparently was overcome by smoke. Justice of The Peace, John Biggs is witholding a ruling pending autopsy results.
 Services will be at 2pm Tuesday at the Newnie W. Ellis Chapel with the Rev. Ronald G. Etheridge pastor of the First United Pentacostal Church officating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
 Murphy was born Sept 19, 1929 in Saint Jo, he was reared in east Texas, and at Seagraves and moved to Midland in 1952. He had worked in the olifields most of his life, at the time of his death he was employed by Yellow Cab Company. He was a Baptist,

 'Fate' Hart, 86 Dies in Hospital; Rites Wednesday
 Harvey L. "Fate" Hart, 86, died in a Midland hospital early this morning.
 Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Newnie W. Ellis Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Darwin, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
 Hart was born July 19, 1887, in Ellis County ad spent his early life in Garrett. In 1903, he moved to Mitchell County and was married there in 1910. He move to Andrews in 1923 and to Midland in 1929. Before retiring in 1957, he farmed and worked for lumber yards.
 Survivors include five sons, Wayne Hart, Sidney Hart, Jay Hart and Davis Hart, all of Midland, and Jessie Ray Hartof Beeville; four daughters Mrs. D.B. Watlingotn, Miss Rosie Hart and Mrs. John Stanley, all of Midland, and Mrs. J. J. HUnter of Charleston Heights, S.C.
 Also four brothers, Bruce Hart of Odessa, Kyle Hart of Lubbock, Chester Hart of Colorado City and Homer Hart of Loraine; five sisters, Mrs. May Bridges of Santa Maria, Calif., Mrs. ELla Drake of Fabens, Mrs.Opal Cole of Iraan, and Mrs. Junice Butler and Mrs. Syble Walker, both of Loraine, 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

 Services for Mrs. Annie Lee Murphy 70, 4012 Tanner St. who died here Sunday afternoon were to be held at 4:00 PM today in the Newnie W. Ellis Chapel. The Rev. E.M. Jones of the Bethel Assembly of God Church was to officate. Interment was to be in Fairview Cemetery.
 Suvivors include 3 sons, J.C. Murphy Jr,. S.L. Murphy, and Charles Murphy all of Midland. 3 daughters, Mrs. Bernie Hennis, Mrs. R.J. Mrs. H.L. Hart, Longtime Resident of Midland, Dies
 Mrs. H.L. Hart, 77 died Wednesday night in a Midland hospital. She had lived in Midland since 1929.
 Services will be at 4p.m. Friday in the Newnie W. Ellis Chapel, with Rev. Don Seigler of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
 Mrs. Hart was born June 17, 1893, in Ellis County ad married H.L. Hart Dec. 18, 1910, in Mitchell County. The Harts moved to Andrews County in 1923 where they lived util they moved to Midland Cunty in 1929.
 The Harts farmed most of their lives.
 Survivors incude her husband, 909 Marienfield St.; five sons, Wayne Hart, Sidney Hart and Jay Hart, all of Midland, Jesse Hart of Burnet and David Hart of Lubbock; four daughters, Mrs. D.B. Watlington, Mrs. John Stanley and Rosie Lee Hart, all of Midland, and Mrs. J.J. Hunter of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Art Davis and Jack Davis, both of Loraine; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Hart of Midland and Mrs. Molly Davis of Laoraine; 22 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.
