Mrs. Petra Aguilar, age 75, of Colorado City, died Tuesday
afternoon at her residence. Services will be at 10 AM
Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with
Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in
the Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of
Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Aguilar was born January 30, 1938 in Colorado City to
Alejandro and Consuelo Garcia Rocha and had been a lifelong
resident. She married Manuel Aguilar, Sr. on July 20, 1954
in Colorado City. She was a cook in the dietary department
of Mitchell County hospital for 25 years and a member of St.
Ann's Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her kids
and grandkids, flea marketing and bingo.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Manuel Aguilar,
Sr. of Colorado City; 3 sons: Adam and wife Gloria Aguilar,
Manuel Aguilar, Jr. (Beaver) and Marcos Aguilar, all of
Sweetwater; 10 daughters: Sylvia and husband, James Cook of
Wichita Falls, Martha and husband, Ricky Heredia of
Sweetwater, Natalie Martinez of Colorado City, Lydia and
husband, Robbie Cadenhead of Big Spring, Estela and husband,
Manuel Luna of Abilene, Crestina Ginkinger of Plainview,
Cindy and husband, David Salazar, Laura and husband, Tim
Mitchell, Delia and husband, Elias Gonzales, all of Colorado
City, Elia and husband, Robert Lara of San Angelo; 39
grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 2 great-great
grandchildren; 5 sisters: Linda Gutierrez , Jessie Aguilar,
Adelina Leal, Trinadad Aguilar, and Teresa Perez; 3
brothers: Alex Rocha, Jr., Frank Rocha, and Carlos Rocha.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters:
Natalia Aguilar and Elida Aguilar; a grandson, Robert Jaye
Emerson; 3 sisters, Paula Silva, Nancy Gutierrez and Mary
Valdez, and a brother, Doro Rocha.
A rosary will be held at 7 PM Friday at the funeral Home. |
