Jimmie Victoria Doss Ayers 1908 - 2000

Jimmie Victoria Doss Ayers, age 91, of Weatherford, Texas, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000 in a Weatherford Nursing Facility. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, in Colorado City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Galbreath-Pickard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ayers was born March 28, 1908 in Colorado City to the late James Wesley and Ida Mae Doss. She married Dee Ayers on November 5, 1933. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1989. She was a resident of Snyder for 50 years until moving to Weatherford in 1994 to be near her family. Eight brothers and sisters have also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Douglas George Ayers and his wife, Jacque of Weatherford; two sisters, Cody Hayes of Westbrook and Della Self and husband Ben of Colorado City; one brother, Dutch Doss of Westbrook; three granddaughters, Patti Lynn Pavlik and husband Gregory Erwin of San Antonio, Mitzi Eleis Mills and husband Foy Dan of Abilene, and Terri Janae Aldridge and husband Wayne Mark of Crowley; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
