BIG SPRING – Ben A. Boadle, 79, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Myers & Smith Chapel with Bill Bates officiating. Burial followed at Colorado City Cemetery.
Ben was born to W.T. (Bill) Boadle and Mona Mae Henderson Boadle on March 21, 1931, in Big Spring. He graduated from Big Spring High School. Ben married Madeline Miles on August 29, 1956. He worked for Texas Electric Service Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1987.

Ben played football and coached in the little league and teenage leagues. He was a member of North Birdwell United Methodist Church and former longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school and served on the Administrative Council. He was a member of the Lion’s Club and was in the National Guard.

Ben is survived by his wife, Madline Miles Boadle; two sons, Miles and his wife, Doris of Booneville, MO and Eugene and his wife, Tonya of Big Spring; two daughters, Jacquelyn Mauch and Laurie and her husband, Roy Platte of Big Spring; eight granddaughters, Stephanie and her husband, Richard Black of Dallas, Melissa and her husband, Albert Jimenez of Round Rock, Niki Boadle of San Angelo, Abbey Boadle of Booneville, MO, Holly Platte and Alison Platte of Big Spring, Jeanie Warren of Big Spring and Brittany Rowland of Bay Town; two grandsons, Ben Boadle and Jason Johnson of Booneville, MO; great-granddaughter, Danielle Rowland of Bay Town; great-grandson, A.J. Deel of Big Spring; one sister, Louise and her husband, Paul Goerschler of Georgetown, KY; and sister-in-law, Georgie Griffith of Colorado City.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and grandson, Aaron Boadle.
