Ethel Boatright, age 92, died Saturday, May 8,1999, after a short illness in Midland Memorial Hospital. Graveside services were held Sunday, May 9, 1999 at 3 P.M. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Ethel was born November 25, 1906 in Erath County, Texas To G. B. and Vashti Watson. In August 1931 she married Joe
Boatright a rancher and stockman in Colorado City, Texas.
A lontime resident of Colorado City and Mitchell County, she moved to Midland in 1995. She was a member of Westside Church of Christ.
Mrs. Boatright was preceded in death by her husband Joe in 1984, her parents, and brothers, Melvin Watson and Howard Watson; her sisters, Iris Freeman, Fleecie Humble, Jimmie Herring, Ora Watson and Lorene Watson.
Survivors include three daughters, Nita B. Taylor and husband, Truman Taylor of Kemp, Texas, Sue B. Wilson and Tanya Jo McCann and husband Geral McCann of Midland and her brother in law, Jake Boatright of Sweetwater; eight grandchildren, Truman Duane Taylor, Jr., Joe Taylor, Mary VanStory, Phillip Taylor, Tammy Cangelose, Sid Wilson, Vicky Harter and Becky Ekstrom all of Milland; 15 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
