Services for Mr. L. D. Brookshire, 85, of Brownsboro, Texas were held Monday,
April 25, 2005 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Clark
Dugger
and Brother Norman Whitehorn officiating. Burial followed in Red Hill Cemetery
in Henderson County under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
Mr. Brookshire passed away April 21, 2005 in Tyler, Texas. He was born March 22,
1920 in Colorado City, Texas. He was a member of the Rice Road Church of Christ.
He was retired from Sears and served as Henderson County Deputy Constable and
was also retired from the City of Brownsboro as police chief. He was married for
64
years to Modelle Lee Brookshire.
He is survived by his wife, Modelle of Brownsboro; two sons, Don Brookshire and
wife Patsy Ruth of Midland and Bill Brookshire and wife Glenda of Merit; a
daughter,
Kay Rumbo and husband David of Chandler; eight grandchildren; Robbie Brookshire,
Trina Falcon, Ricky Brookshire, Lana Rochier, Debra Williams, Juanelle Mendez,
Amie Rumbo and Davey Rumbo; 11 great grandchildren, Maggie Brookshire, Libby
Brookshire, Ashley Chavez, Raegan Chavez, Blain Chavez, Justin Brookshire,
Travis
Brookshire, Amber Rochier, Allison Rochier, Zachary Mendez and Rebecca Rumbo;
one great great grandchild, Landon Timmons.
Mr. Brookshire was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Mitchell and
Willis Brookshire and two sisters. |
