William Dalton Conaway, Jr

Westbrook- William Dalton Conaway Jr., 76, of Westbrook, TX, passed away Wednesday, April 6,2011. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. , Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Westbrook Church of Christ in Westbrook, TX. Denny Wilson will be officiating services. Family visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. , Friday, April 8, 2011 at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

William was born October 12, 1934 in Westbrook, to parents Dalton and Nellie Conaway. William grew up and attended school in Westbrook. William married Margaret Ann on December 26, 1971 at the Church of Christ in Colorado City, TX. He worked as a farmer and rancher in the Mitchell County area most of his life and worked for over ten years as a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. William was a member of the Westbrook Church of Christ and he also was a volunteer fireman for the Westbrook Fire Department. William served as a member of the Westbrook ISD school board and Mitchell County Tax Board and also served in the National Guard. William was also a member of Westbrook Lions Club.

William is survived by wife: Margaret Ann Conaway of Westbrook, Sons: Jeffrey Conaway and wife Angela of Katy, TX and Gregory Conaway and wife Debbie of Katy, TX, Grandchildren: Taylor Conaway, Kolby Conaway, Zachary Conaway, Morgan Conaway, William Conaway ,all of Katy, TX . Sister: Lavon Hancock of Midland ,TX and Brother: Travis Conaway and wife Jo of Westbrook, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

William was preceded in death by his parents and infant son William Harlan Conaway.

Pallbearers will be Todd Smith, John Beckmyer, Taylor Beckmyer, Clay Garner, Phillip Hancock, Jay Browne
Honorary Pallbearers: Jimmy Browne, Warren Zant, Jerry Hancock
