RETIRED WESTBROOK FARMER'S FUNERAL AT C-CITY TODAY
Benjamin Franklin Davis, 82, retired farmer, died at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday at his
home in Westbrook.
He was born March 24, 1870, in Dallas County, and married Mattie Bayless October
6, 1886 in Rose Hill.
They came to Mitchell County in 1906 and had lived there since that time.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kiker and Son Chapel in Colorado City. The
Rev. David Crow, pastor of the Westbrook Baptist Church will officiate.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Burial will be in the Westbrook Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife; seven daughters, Mrs. Carmen Schafer of Colorado
City, Mrs. Annie Beal of Westbrook, Mrs. Jim (Hattie) Morris, Mrs. O.H. (Lydia)
Marr, and Mrs. Alvin (Gladys) Rasey all of Abilene, Mrs. J.H. (Lottie) Stoneham
of Odessa, Mrs. J.H. (Etta) Everetts of Christoval; one son, W.W. Davis of
Westbrook; two brothers, Dan Davis of Garland and Kalip Davis of Richardson; two
sisters, Mrs. Martha Derring of Segoville and Mrs. Jeannie Ramsey of Denton
County; 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and on great great grandchild.
