MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1971
COLORADO CITY-- Mrs. Nettie Doss, 74, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday in the Root
Valley Fair Lodge following a long illness.
Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Methodist Church with the
Rev. Billy Wilkinson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Rains-Seale
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Doss was born May 30, 1897 in Lampasas, and came to Colorado City in
1925. She married W.L. Doss, Jr. September 14, 1926 in Lampasas. She was a
former school teacher.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Bob Shelton of Tyler; two sisters, Mrs.
Lila Foster of San Antonio and Mrs. Josie Mayes of Austin.
Daughter of Robert and Annie Ellis Martin.
