W.H. GREGORY, WESTBROOK, DIES; FUNERAL TUESDAY
William Homer Gregory, 82, Westbrook, died in the Root Memorial Hospital in
Colorado City at noon Monday.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church in
Westbrook. The Rev. S.L. Yielding, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the
Rev. Larry Sullivan, pastor of the Westbrook Methodist Church.
The body will lie in state at Kiker and Son Funeral Home until 12:45 p.m.
and will lie in state at the church until service time. The casket will not
be opened at the service.
He was born April 30, 1980 in Tyler County but had lived in Colorado City
since 1898. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church
of Westbrook. He married Ella Coker in 1907 in Westbrook. She died in 1957.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marion Williamson of Westbrook; two
brothers, R.E. Gregory of Westbrook and B.H. Gregory of Colorado City; five
sisters, Mrs. Anna Terry, Mrs. Mattie Phillips and Mrs. Lora Anderson, all
of Big Spring, Mrs. Dora Morris of Midland and Mrs. Ida McNew of Alpine, and
two grandchildren.
He was the son of Sam K and Catherine Hopson Gregory. |
