Geraldine Wright "Gerry" Owens Haggerton

1927 - 1999

Mrs. Geraldine Haggerton, age 71, of Colorado City, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999 in a local hospital. Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Oak Street Baptist Church with Dr. Bentley Gwyn officiating. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery, under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
She was born Geraldine Wright on May 24, 1927 in Robert Lee, Texas and had lived in Colorado City most of her life. She was the widow of Tommy Owens whom she married in 1946, he died in 1963, she then married Robert J. Haggerton in 1967 in Mexico.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Haggerton of Colorado City; two daughters, Darlene Henderson of Colorado City and Jana Barr of Goliad, Texas; five sons, Steve Owens and James Owens of Colorado City, David Owens of San Angelo and Ronny Owens of El Dorado Springs, MS; a brother, Jimmy Wright of Mansfield; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
