GEORGE O. LEE RITES SATURDAY

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock P.M. at the First Baptist Church for George O. Lee, with Rev. Lee Hollis officiating, assisted by Rev. R. T. Barton.
George Olan Lee was born September 9, 1889 at Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas, and died January 8, 1948 in Temple, Texas. He had been a resident of Mitchell County since December 1897. He was married to Flossie Compton August 29, 1920. They were the parents of four children, one dying in infancy. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, a Woodman of the World and a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife and three children, George Manuel, Alma and Loyce; three brothers, Ed, Charlie and Jess all of Loraine.
Pallbearers were Homan Lee, Olan Lee, C. L. Lee, Burdette Lee, Harrell Dunn and J. C. Freeman.
Those helping with flowers were Mrs. Roscoe Hudgins, Mrs. George Reddin, Mrs. Pete Pyle, and Mrs. Terry Turnbow.
Friends and relatives from out of town to attend the funeral were Mrs. Clyde Slaughter and children of Quemado, L. D. Brookshire, Mrs. A. C. Dunn, Mr. and Mrs. Harrell Dunn of Fort Worth, Joyce Lee, Melba Lee, C. L. Lee and Mrs. Pete Pyle of Midland, Mrs. Claude Garrett of Fort Stockton, Mrs. Virgil Smith and daughter of Odessa, Raymond and Elvis Lee of Lubbock, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Quinn of Ackerley.
