COLORADO CITY ~~ Mrs. L.P. (Berta) Merrill, 86, of Colorado City died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital of natural causes. Services are pending with Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Born December 4, 1890 in Richland Springs, she had lived in Colorado City 51 years. She married Lucky Merrill in 1911 in Glen Rose. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Merrill died in 1970.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C.C. (Erna Lou) Burt of Colorado City and Jane Merrill Brady of Weatherford; a granddaughter, Jane Ann Burt Colorado City; a sister, Mrs. I.W. Perry of Colorado City; and a brother, L. C. Webb of Abilene.
