Mrs. Clara Smith, 68, died Wednesday in the Root Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
She was the wife of Ernest Smith, retired car salesman and onetime farmer. Mrs. Smith had lived here since 1919.
She was born November 26, 1890 in Navarro County and was married December 2, 1908 at Frost.
Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Kiker and Son Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Clarence Collins, pastor, and the Rev. Cal Wright, assistant pastor, of the First Methodist Church officiating. She was a member of the church.
Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery.
She is survived by the husband of Colorado City; one son, Darrell Smith of Ackerly; one brother, Knox Mimms of Beaumont; one sister, Mrs. Minor Beene of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and one grandchild.
