Kenneth Wayne "Ken" Whitzel

Mr. Kenneth Wayne "Ken" Whitzel, age 66, of Colorado City, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at his residence. Services will be at 11 AM Saturday at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Mike Foster Officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker- Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Whitzel was born September 24, 1945 in Seminole, TX to Arnold and Helen Lloyd Whitzel and had been a resident of Colorado City since 1988. He married Pat Kidd on June 18, 1977. He was a remodeling contractor and a member of the First Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife Pat Whitzel of Colorado City; a son, Keith Whitzel of Plains, TX; a daughter, Valerie and husband, Charles Clark of Midland; a brother, Doyle Whitzel of Carlsbad, NM; 5 grandchildren: Bradley Gandy, Billy Davis, Lydia Whitzel, Jasmine Whitzel and Brennan Whitzel.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Sam Gandy and 2 brothers: Raymond Whitzel and Walter Whitzel.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
