John Bruton 

1926-2000 

RUIDOSO, N.M. -- John Harley Bruton of Ruidoso, former Snyder resident, died Monday, Oct. 2, in Ruidoso. 

Services for Mr. Bruton, 73, are pending at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso, 

He was born on Oct. 29, 1926 in Stephenville and was reared in Snyder. 

Mr. Bruton served in the Navy in World War II and retired 20 years ago from Phillips 66 in Odessa as a cost analyzer. Following retirement, he moved to Ruidoso. 

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Crenshaw of Lancaster; his father, John L. Bruton of Weatherford; and one sister; Maxine Richardson of Weatherford. 

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Clinton Bruton.
