Edna Clift
Edna R. Clift of San Angelo, former longtime Hermleigh resident, died Monday, March 19, at Heritage House in San Angelo after a lengthy illness.
Graveside service for Mrs. Clift, 94, is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hermleigh Cemetery, directed by Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born on May 18, 1906 in Bonham, she married Claude Vance Clift on June 14, 1936 in Bonham. He died on May 5, 1996. A former teacher for Hermleigh ISD, she had lived in San Angelo for 1½ years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bonham and attended the Hermleigh United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; and a brother-in-law.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Fred De La Cruz of San Angelo; a son, Jerry Clift, of San Angelo; four grandchildren and spouses, Shelley and Ron Hansen of Los Angeles; Shane and Laura McKenzie of San Angelo, Nathan and Candice De La Cruze of Austin and Camille De La Cruz of Austin and five great- grandchildren; Stephen, Nikki, Kameron and Keanu Hansen of Los Angeles and Tori McKenzie of Maryland.
