Doris Sellars

1925-2004

Graveside service for Doris Marie Sellars was set for 3 p.m. today in the Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sellars, 78, died Friday, Feb. 13, in Midland.

Born Sept. 10, 1925 in Haskell, she was reared in Haskell and moved to Midland in 1956.

She married R.D. Sellars in 1959 and he died in 1983.

Mrs. Sellars worked at the Scharbauer Hotel as a beautician and then owned and operated Modern Food Store before working for the Midland Independent School District. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Eunice Miller; and a brother, John Miller.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Hammond of Midland; four sons, Randy Sellars of Round Rock, Jerry Hunt, Bobby Hunt and Phillip Hunt, all of Midland; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
