Wandell Vancleave 

1927-2000 

Graveside service for Valla Wandell Vancleave is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Hermleigh Cemetery. The Rev. Alvin Couch of Abilene will officiate with arrangements under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Vancleave, 73, died Monday, Sept. 11, at her home in Snyder. 

Born March 15, 1927 in Silverton, she married Bufford Doyle Vancleave in 1946 in Abilene. Her husband and a daughter, Paula Irene Thompson, preceded her in death. 

Survivors include a daughter, Gearldean Walkabout of Welling, Okla., a son, Doyle Vancleave; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wright Colonial Funeral Home
