SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Gladys Wade 1906-2000 Funeral service for Gladys Ida Wade, a former resident of Snyder, was set for 4 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church Chapel in Snyder with a son, the Rev. John Wade of Abilene, and Bill Wiman officiating. Burial was to follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Mrs. Wade, 94, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, in Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Okla., following a lengthy illness. Born March 10, 1906 in Merkel, she married Anthem Wade on June 4, 1939 in Merkel. Mrs. Wade, a homemaker, moved to Snyder in 1983 and later moved to Weatherford, Okla. She and her husband were missionaries on the Indian reservations in Oklahoma. Her parents, T.D. and Mary Harris Wiman preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Anthem Wade of Corn; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Ron Rooker of Weatherford, Okla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Judy Wade of Lake Kiowa, Tex., and the Rev. John and Ann Wade of Abilene; two sisters, Pat Keeth of Weslaco and Ruth Wiman of San Angelo; two brothers, Talmadge Wiman of Sweetwater and Jim Wiman of Lubbock; and three sisters-in-law, Bird Wade and Lou Wiman, both of Snyder, and Gladys Shaw of Abilene; 11 grandchildren, Angie Zeidenberg and her husband, Peter, Misty Crutchfield and her husband, Roger, Tammy Crutchfield and her husband, Scott, Josh Meier, Eric Meier, Tim Wade, Nathan Wade, Jacob Wade, Daniel Wade, Rachel Arnold; and seven great-grandchildren.
