Beaulah and Elmer were the oldest children of Thomas Parish Green and Mary Frances Roberts. Lewis Green was the 3d child. All three attended the Post Oak School. Beaulah and Elmer died in a measles epidemic in 1913. I never quite understood why my father was somewhat superstitious until I first saw Beaulah's tombstone and noticed that she died on the 13th day of the month, 1913. Incidentally, the first markers were field stones with the names and dates scratched on by my grandfather. My father and Uncle Herman replaced them in the 1960s with the small granite markers now over the graves of the children.--DONALD E. GREEN, DonaldG100@aol.com
