Evelyn Hallmark Dunn
Sterling City – Glen Evelyn Hallmark Dunn of Sterling City died June 12, 2002. She was born Aug. 6, 1917 in Houston County. She was married to C.J. Dunn and has four children, Betty, Bobby, Barba and Beverly. Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church and had worked as a nurse's aide at the nursing home, Chapple's Food Store, John Brock's Grocery and J.C. Penney in Alpine and Midland. She was honored as a Sterling county Pioneer during the Sterling County Millennium Celebration. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Dunn; her parents, Luther and Glennora Hallmark; her brother, L.B. Hallmark; her sister, Maudine Hallmark Marlow; a grandson, Danny Glass and one great-granddaughter, Amanda Anderson. She is survived by her sister, Albertine Hallmark Josey; two aunts, Buena Hallmark Davis of Corpus Christi and Gladys Turner of San Angelo; four children, Betty Dunn Glass and husband, Can, Bobby Dunn and wife, Raye, of Clint, Barba Dunn Clanton and husband, Robert of Blooming Grove and Beverly Dunn Howard and husband, Don; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Service was held in Montvale Cemetery in Sterling City, Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m.
