Elsie Allene Wilhelm died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, in Sterling County Nursing Home. Service was at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at the First Baptist Church with David Burk officiating. Interment followed in Foster Cemetery with arrangements by Ross Funeral Home. Allene was a member of the Baptist church and was actively involved in the Sterling county Senior Citizens Association. She was born in Comanche, attended school and graduated from Blackwell High School in Blackwell. She began her career as a telephone operator fro FTE in Sterling city and was transferred to San Angel9o, where she worked until retirement. Allene was preceded in death by her parents, E.T. and Zona Elsie Wilhelm; two brothers, Dan and Tobe Wilhelm; a brother-in-law, Bill Blair; and a nephew, Bobby G. Blair. She is survived by a sister, Helen Blair of Sterling City; a brother, Wallace Wilhelm and his wife Elaine, of Odessa, a nephew, Billy D. Blair and wife, Nettie of Water Valley; Carol Blair of San Angelo; and nieces and nephews, Laurie and Shawn Colver, Toss and Carlene Blair, Thomas Blair, Tim and Pam Blair, Todd and Casey Blair, Sherry and David Wishert, Susan and Henry Novak, Larry Wilhelm, Barry Wilhelm and Will Wilhelm.
