Where We Are
Sutton County is at the northwestern corner of the southern section of the state on the western edge of the Edwards Plateau
and there is no reliable water source. The county seat is Sonora in the northwest quadrant of the county at the intersection
of I-10 and Hwy 277. The counties that touch our borders are (starting in the north)
Schleicher and
Menard with
Kimble to the east and
Edwards and
Val Verde in the south.
Crockett County is our neighbor the the west and northwest.
