A 1976 newspaper article from the Fort Worth Star Telegram states
that there were once about 200 graves of early pioneers in this cemetery,
whose stones were destroyed in the 1940s. J. M. Maserang of Midlothian, and
his sister, Mrs. Lena Donze, have a brother and grandparents buried there.
There was a school located at Wyatt's Chapel, where pie suppers and "protracted"
meetings were held. The land is now owned by the Methodist Conference.
The cemetery is located north of Mansfield at the intersection of Highways 157 and 287 on the southwest corner. There are two markers, one for multiple graves. There is no access road to the graves.
