Petition of L. W. Anderson for court to allow Hightower L. Anderson and Sophronia Anderson, all of Tarrant County, and minor heirs of Elizabeth Anderson, deceased, to choose their guardians. They are both over the age of fourteen years. Filed 20 Feb. 1860

Bond of L. W. Anderson, guardian of Hightower L. and Sophronia Anderson; $1600. Sureties: E. M. Daggett, E. W. Ellis, and William Mosley [possibly Morley). Dated 27 Feb. 1860.

L. W. Anderson, guardian, reports that he has paid out for Sophronia Anderson: A. C. Richey for tuition; E. Cannon, for board; and C. Wise, for clothing 1860 and 1861; also to Huddleston: tuition and board. For Hightower Anderson he has paid R. C. Richey; J. M. Lilly for board; C. Wise for clothing 1861, and tuition and board. Report dated 29 Dec. 1861.

Receipt dated Jan. 7,1862, from F. Gorman to Van Anderson,$9.00 in full for professional services rendered his sister for whom he is guardian. [In other instances L. W. Anderson is called Levan and Lavan.]

Paper, not dated, which states that S. Anderson and H. L. Anderson started to school September the 17, 1860 and went two and a half months. Paid out five dollars for their tuition. S/ L. W. Anderson.

- to E. Cannon, for boarding Sophronia Anderson while she was at school. $14. 23 Nov. 1861.

- to J. M. Lilly, for boarding L. H. Anderson while at school. 23 Nov. 1861.

- to A. McGabrey[?], account at general store.

- to Frederick Beall, for boarding Miss Sophronia Anderson ($28.), and for medical attention ($22.). 2 July 1862.

Among account rendered by guardian: "bought for S. Anderson May 15 1862 one pair of shoes price two dollars and a half; bought Sept 1860 one Meguffeys reader, one half quire paper one half dozen pens one geography and map and one copy book. On July 7th one hoop skirt 1.40; one pair of shoes 2.00; one pair hose 25 cents."
