Bond of Martha Anne Millsaps, guardian of Charlotte Louisa Huitt, minor heir of A. J. Huitt, deceased; $1000. Sureties: Thomas J. Allen and Jno B. Hibbert. Approved 28 Jan. 1856.

[Note: Martha Ann Millsap signed by mark. In her application and bond, the name Eliza was first entered, then stricken, and the name Charlotte Louisa (or Louise) entered. The oath, part of the bond, shows the minors name as Charity Louisa Huitt. The letter of guardianship, missing from these records but recorded in Old Estate Record Book, 1855-1859, page 31, authorizes Martha Ann Millsaps, guardian... "to enter upon and take possession of all the estate of her child, both real and personal.]
