John Millsaps died in Tarrant County in the year 1866 and in the year 1868 his widow Mary Milsaps also died leaving two minor heirs that ... are without any natural or legal guardian. Inventory of the property of the heirs of John Millsaps, dec'd, to wit, J. W. and Florence E. Millsaps: 60 acres land, a part of Josh Wilson's headright, livestock, etc. Filed 28 Sept. 1868.

Bond of J. B. Bates, guardian of the person and property of Florence Ellen and J. W. Milsap; $150. Sureties: P.A. Watson and T. R. Morris. Approved 28 Sept. 1868. [J. B. Bates signed his name: J. B. Beites.]
