I am in
desperate need of some data on a ALDEN COFFEY.
He appears to be related somehow to my
grandparents. He was a doctor and had the Alden
Coffey Clinic in Ft Worth in the 1940's. My
grandfather passed away at his clinic in 1944.
Negative replies are as helpful as positive in
this case. Thank you for your time and efforts.

Dear

Would like to make the following look-up
request, please:
My GG grandfather T.J. DOBBS [died 25 Jan 1908]
is buried at Oakwood Cemetery. His first wife
Anna Buford WHITE died in 1890 - wondered if she
might have been buried elsewhere in the same
cemetery [perhaps no marker]? Thanks very much
for your time and help.
REPLY:
If Anna is buried at Oakwood, there is no
record of it. The only other DOBBS buried
there is Gladys.
There are a number of DOBBS found in Parker
County. Have you checked there?

Could
you tell me if there are any books out on Rose
Hill? I know it's called Shannon's now, but I
haven't seen any pubications with it. Thanks
REPLY:
It is still called Rose Hill Memorial Park. It
is also referred to as Shannon's Rose Hill as
it is owned by Shannon's Funeral Home. The
only thing that has been in print is what the
DAR copied in the mid-1950's. They only listed
stones where the date of birth was before
something like 1875 or so.
I have personally copied about a third of the
stones in Rose Hill. I have done the older
sections and have finished over 7600 graves to
date. I can check my records or you can
contact the cemetery office directly.

That surname appears only once in Oakwood's
records. There is no stone and the given name
was not recorded in the books. The only
information given is that it was a female who
was interred 10-18-1898 and buried in Block 1
Space 5. That is in the oldest part of the
cemetery. The grave location and the missing
first name leads me to believe that this may
have been an infant. I wish I had more for
you.
