Abilene State School Cemetery From South Treadaway, take South Eleventh Street east .4 of a mile to Maple Street. Turn right (south) on Maple Street and go 1 mile. The state school is on the left (east) side of the road. The cemetery is on state property and access is controlled by the current administrators at the school. Like any governmental body they have an abundance of rules but fortunately the staff is friendly and anxious to help.
