They lived in Titus County for several years. Nancy's mother was Martha
TURNSTILL who married William CAMPBELL. They settled in Titus county.

Looking for info on King family that came from AL, invloved in some
kind of lurid scandel early 1900's ot late 1800's
(Tom, you never heard this story? It is a long story that I never got
the full details of until I got in to this genealogy. I remember my
grandmother talking about all of her Aunt's family being buried in one
grave. I have come to find out that it was a well known event in Titus
County, Tx and is written in their local history. The details are
grizzly. I will send you the story. Basically it involves their oldest
son George. It is believed that he might have molested his sister(this
is not in the history), but at any rate he murdured the whole family and
almost got away with it. Another man, the husband of his sister, was
wrongly accused. The story is much too complex for me to write here,
but I will send you the story.)

White were orphaned in 1899 and raised by a family named Riffle in Wisconsin.
His sister (half sister) Jeanette Leona White b. 1886 married one of the Riffle
sons.
Charles' parents
were Mattie Lee Price and W. W. White. Mattie & W. W. White were
married in Texarkana TX in 1888.
Her first
husband was Samuel Wise and her husband in 1899 was Louis Aronson.
Mattie Lee Price
Wise White Aronson died in 1899 in London. Lew Aronson and Mattie Lee Price were
performing for the Barnum & Bailey Circus at this time.
Charles married
Nora Jesme in 1914 at Los Angeles County CA. They were in Grant County ND in
1917. He moved to Los Angeles County CA where he died in 1932.
The Price family
moved to Van Zandt County TX in 1894 from Murray County GA and later to Upshur
County TX.

date unknown. Oma Ann BYNUM is the daughter of James BYNUM and Armentie
VAN ZANDT, and was born 12 Sep 1883 in Cookville. William Edward TRAYLOR
and Oma Ann BYNUM had one daughter and several sons. Their daughters name
is Ella Mae TRAYLOR, b 01 Sep 1900 in Cookville. The sons that I can
remember are Eugene, Jewell, Wallace and Marvin TRAYLOR. I am not sure

grandfather, William Clark WOOTEN.
his wife Nancy Matilda and children: Russell Wallace, Nancy Molinda,
Margaret Mosuri and Thomas Jackson (my grandfather) who moved to
Cookville,
Titus Co. TX in 1885 from Shelby County, (near Birmingham) Alabama.
Evidence
points toward their travelling with other families, but I can't verify
that.
They stayed in and around Cookville for about 4 or 5 years. They had
another
child, Mary Ann, born in 1886. They left Titus County in 1889 in an old
wagon and two yoke of oxen, headed for Arkansas.
Any information on them or their impact on Titus Co. will be greatly
appreciated.

Clark Turner who was born (1842)in Georgia.
He's my GG-grandfather, who lived in and around Mt. Pleasant, Cason area.
He had several children including Pink, [Lem (my g-grandfather); Wife
(Ella Howard)],
Richard, Mary, Sarah, Hardy,Simon, William, Margaret.
I am also looking for any information on (maternal)gg-granfather Jack
Rodgers
Rogers)who had a daughter (my g-grandmother) Indy(Indiana)Riley (nee
Rodgers).
Jack was a slave who was owned by "Lev Olds" and lived on the "Olds"
farm.
Through oral tradition, I learned that he and my gg-grand mother
(Margaret Rodgers;
nee Shelton) were bought in Tennessee and transported to Texas.
My grandmother(Mary Leftwice, nee:Turner), daughter of Indy Rodgers, is
suppose to be buried in the "Lev Olds
Cemetary". I recently visited the cemetary, but did not find her
grave/headstone.
Was told it may be under water due to the SWEPCO plant and "man-made"
lake/reservoir.

Thomas "Tom" C. Counts & wife (? Elizabeth Campbell ?) not sure of her
name, had at least 10 children.

2. (M) John Thomas, b. 29 April 1875 in Arkansas, d. 31 July 1965 in
Atlanta, TX, married to Annie Pauline Riddle the 14 Sept 1902 in Mt.
Pleasant, TX; both are buried in the Linden Ceme, Linden, TX. They were
the parents of 11 Children.
3. (M) Benjamin Franklin 'Ben F.', b. 4 Feb 1880, d. 28 July 1928 and
buried in Linden Ceme.
