Brantley Cemetery | Home |
This cemetery is strictly a small Brantley family cemetery probably established around 1880 in rural southwest Titus County. It lies on private property but ingress and egress is stipulated in deed restrictions. There are eight markers plainly visible at the foot of concrete slabs covering each grave. A large monument with the Brantley name is found in the middle of the cemetery. The cemetery is enclosed with a very secure galvanized pipe fence and ornamental wire fencing. It is well maintained and has a surplus of land thereby making it difficult to determine whether there were other burials in the enclosure. To reach the Brantley Cemetery from the Titus county court house, take West 1st street west for 0.5 miles to the intersection with Ferguson Road (US 271). Proceed straight through the intersection, the designation will be FM 127. After 10.7 miles FM 127 intersects with FM 21 in the Blodgett community. Turn right on FM 21 and proceed 0.6 miles northwest. The cemetery lies less than 50 yards in an open pasture. Coordinates: 33o04.606'N 095o06.858'W
