There are two cemeteries in Titus County named Riddle. Therefore, to minimize the confusion and abbreviate the references to them, they will be called Riddle #1 and Riddle #2 with the latter being the subject of this survey. It is located in rural Eastern Titus County across the road from the Old Union Cemetery and Church. This is a well kept cemetery with no evidence of graves not having monuments. There were four stone monuments that were eroded to the point of unreadableness. From previous surveys, the compiler believes these stones mark the graves of four Riddles (Alice, Maggie M., W. T. and ???)
To reach the Riddle #2 Cemetery from the Titus County court house take Jefferson Street (US 271) north 0.9 mile to the intersection of US 67 (16th Street). Turn right (east) onto US 67 and proceed 3.6 miles to the intersection of County Road (CR) NE 3 (CR 3045). The cemetery lies on the right (South) side of US 67 across the road from the Old Union Cemetery and Church and adjacent to the Old Union Community center grounds.
