Mrs. B. F. McRae
Midway News, Optic dated 14Jun1940 McRea, Mrs. B. F. Jun 1940 Mrs. B. F. McRae passed away at her home near Winfield in the Progress community following an illness of several weeks. She was well known having spent her entire life in and about Winfield, and many hearts were saddened by her passing. Funeral services were held in the Winfield Baptist Church at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. They were conducted by Rev. Ora E. Short, Winfield pastor and Rev. John E. Whitt of Mt. Vernon. Interment followed later in the Winfield Cemetery, where her father, mother, and other relatives had been laid to rest. Surviving Mrs. McRea are two sons, Byron and Gilbert, two grandchildren, six brothers, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband a few years ago.
